This is an old painting that I am revisiting. It started out as a self portrait and I was unsure of how to proceed. I titled it Self Doubt because that is what I feel the image creates for me, especially with position of the hand. During my last semester of school I painted two large painting similar in size to this one. I used a salt solution over the paint and I liked the way that it created a different textural layer. I am excited to try that idea for this piece.
